HOLYDAYS OF OBLIGATION

Together with all Sundays which by apostolic tradition are to be observed in the universal Church as the primary holydays of obligation, the following feast days are prescribed by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England & Wales as holydays of obligation:

The Bishops have also given permission for those Solemnities which fall on Saturday or Monday ( with the exception of Christmas Day ) to be transferred to the Sunday.
