Baptism
Please contact our Pastoral
Assistant (01223-350787 between 0900 and 1400 Monday - Friday). to confirm the
time & date. If it is your first child to be baptised, you are normally
required to attend a preparation course. You may purchase a Baptism booklet for
further information. There is no charge for Baptism, but your donation to the
Church is appreciated. If you wish to donate by cheque, please make it payable
to Our Lady & the English Martyrs. A certificate of baptism should be given
to you after baptism, but in case it is not, please contact the receptionist
(01223-350787 between 9.00 am and 14.00 pm, Monday - Friday) to obtain one,
free of charge, as soon as possible.
First Holy Communion
Catechism classes for Catholic children
around 7 years old are held on Saturday mornings in the parish centre. Please
contact our Pastoral Assistant (01223-350787 between 0900 and 1400 Monday -
Friday) for further information.
Confirmation
There is a parish programme for Catholic teenagers who wish to be confirmed. Please check OLEM Notice Board or contact the Receptionist (01223-350787 between 9.00 and 14.00 on weekdays) for further information.

Extra times for Confession before
Christmas & Easter will be published in the bulletin and in a special Advent
and Lent leaflet published at the start of the appropriate liturgical season which
are available in the Church
Marriage
Please contact OLEM
at least six months before marriage.
It is advisable to book the church before any arrangements are made.
Couples will have to attend a
course of instructions given by one of the priests and Marriage Care (01638 -
560580). There is no charge for the Sacrament of Marriage, but your donation to
the Church is appreciated. If you wish to donate by cheque, please make it
payable to Our Lady & the English Martyrs.
Sacraments for the Sick
OLEM clergy are available for a visit or administering the sacraments for the sick at hospitals, nursing homes, etc. Please do not hesitate to contact OLEM (01223-350787) when there is a request from the sick persons.
Funerals
Please ask your funeral directors
to contact OLEM
(01223-350787) as soon as possible. If you wish to invite a specific priest to
officiate, please make sure that you contact him personally before any
arrangements are made.

As a registered charity, we highly appreciate your generosity to help with the church expenses as well as charitable works. There is a very flexible scheme which facilitates your donations to the Church, especially if you are a tax-payer. Car Park
There are two private car parks at
OLEM: one is in
If spaces in the church car parks are all occupied, there are several public car parks plus Pay & Display areas situated nearby. This is more likely to happen in the case of baptisms, funerals, weddings, etc.
Please bear in mind that all cars
are parked at owners' risk.
